I've been dawdling with my sewing -- learning, but dawdling. Time to kick things into high gear and finish some projects.
How? Time-blocking, my friend, time-blocking! I've set aside at least 30 minutes every evening to sew, uninterrupted. I'll probably expand that as time goes on, but there are other priorities, and I want a more slack-proof schedule.
Already fixed my mornings. I struggle to get out of bed before 8 or 9, so I blocked time the night before to get ready. This morning I dragged for 45 minutes getting out of bed, but still made it to work on time.
Hoping that time-blocking will also help with my other projects. I want to write (which I can do a lot on my commute, thanks to Google speech-to-text). Our tiny house (840sf) needs renovation to make it more livable. And things in our home aren't very well organized right now.
Going to see what 30m per day, four days per week, will get me. I'll probably also have to use some Saturday time on some of these, particularly sewing and writing, but I usually have about half a day free most Saturdays.

Bag Divider
I'm going to start by making something for myself. My bookbag is too heavy, and the Cordura it's made from is too precious for salable projects, so I'm forcing a switch to a tote bag. But the tote needs a divider to make it usable. I've laid one out. It looks like this:
It has a place for my PC, my diabetic supplies, my iPhone stuff, first aid, my planner, and so forth. It keeps everything from being jumbled up in my bag. I've already cut the foam, I just need to sew Cordura around it and sew it together.
Let's see how long this project takes in 30m per night....
